Account business visibility grown using SEO tactics
Client's Key Goals and Achievements
The client came to the Loop Digital Team with two fairly simple goals. The first was that they wanted to grow their brand visibility in the Leicester area. They were based in a small town nearby and so there wasn’t a great deal of opportunity for growth in this area, meaning they had to think further afield.
Secondly, they also wanted to improve the traffic to their website and generate more leads. They were already fairly well established, but wanted to grow their business by improving the sales of their services.
The Marketing Strategy
For this client we opted for a full SEO strategy that included a comprehensive content plan as well. Since the client only wanted to focus on one area, Leicester, our SEO team decided to optimise the entire website to target this location, instead of opting for other solutions such as location pages.
This involved a full rewrite of the site’s main five landing pages, which in this case were the homepage, payroll and pension, self-assessment, VAT, and bookkeeping service pages. We targeted location-specific keywords such as ‘bookkeeping services in Leicester’ and ‘self-assessment Leicester’.
To support the on-page work we used off-page SEO practices to build local relevance in the Leicester area. This involved building local links and using local citations.
The Results
The results were positive for the client and we began to see progress early on in the campaign. In the first year of working with us the client saw massive improvement on key targeted keywords: ‘Tax advising service Leicester’ moved up 28 places, ‘‘bookkeeping services Leicester’ moved up 29 places, and ‘accountant to do tax return’ moved up 11 places.
